Crescent Moon Liaison
thick, toughened by the sun
coarse golden-rod skin,
peeled back
revealing a moist,
soft tawny
crescent moon
as she is about to disappear
into a crevice of throaty
instinctual desire
and be devoured
swallowed whole
by her voracious lover.
